When I eat breakfast, I flip through magazines. It’s a calm way to get my brain firing. And I get to look at pretty pictures.
Yesterday though, my brain lit up like a lightning storm with inspiration. A metric ton of giggles too but a lot more inspiration. The ad that did it…

The model in the photo owns his environment. He’s posing with an eagle that’s almost bigger than his upper body. Wearing a suit. In a studio. And he looks like it’s the most natural thing for him to be doing. I wouldn’t be surprised to find him walking down the street with that eagle on his arm.
Eagle Man is a lesson wrapped in a slightly oddball campaign. With the hubbub that Opera Magazine caused and the kickoff of #rockthecrop, it’s a good reminder of what confidence can do for you. Confidence gives you the permission to do or wear anything you want. Confidence convinces the world that what you are doing is expected.
Go wear that crop top, tight dress, or short shorts. Go ask for a raise, tell people your ideas, and approach someone new. Imagine you are posing with an eagle and own it.

Flip through family pictures and you’ll see I rocked a belly from the moment I was born. Pictures of me jumping into a pool at Disney World when I was six, round little tummy leading the way. Frog jumping contest, t-shirt snug against me as I whack the mat behind my bullfrog. Year after year, picture after picture. That tummy stands out to me like a beacon.
